Julia began sailing as a young girl in Stockholm. It was during this time that she crafted her strength as an incredibly structured sailor.
Having both recently graduated from law school and also owning her own swimwear company, Julia demonstrates that hard work and time management will drive success. After ending the Olympic campaign just before Tokyo she was planning on further exploring a career in law. However, once the Swedish Challenge announced the women’s team Julia decided to embrace this once in a lifetime opportunity and make a come back.
Vilma’s professionalism is clear to everyone around her as she has impressively navigated sailing both the FX for the Olympics and the AC40 for the Swedish Challenge. Together with Rebecca Netzler, she won silver at the Paris Olympics in the 49erFX.
Growing up in Stockholm, Vilma always loved competing. Her drive, ability to learn fast and unwavering focus helped her climb the ranks to where she is today. After her first Olympic Games this summer, we look forward to harnessing Vilma’s expertise for the battle in the inaugural Women’s America’s Cup challenge.
Rebecca is from the north of Sweden where most sports are connected to snow. But this girl grew up on a lake and the Swedish sailing community are very happy for that.
Rebecca is an extremely positive influence, always keeping the team around her happy. She constantly seeks to improve both herself, and her team around her, helping them to always push forward. Rebecca's unrivalled work ethic means that, together with Vilma Bobeck, she won silver at the Paris Olympics in the 49erFX.
As a youth Ida showcased early talent in sailing. During her four years at sailing high school in Motala, Ida gained invaluable knowledge that she brought with her when she entered Olympic sailing.
Ida has taken on mixed sailing and is a team player with no fear for high speed having sailed Nacra17 since 2013.
Now, after a intense year with a tough trial in the Nacra17, she is 100% determined and focused on her new goal at the helm of the women’s team for the Swedish Challenge. Her dream is to work within professional sailing and we know that the inaugeral Women's America's Cup is a pinnacle moment in her journey.
Felicia is a fast learner and hard worker. With a background at the sailing high school in Lerum, she has been sailing 29er and also wing foil.
Driven by her passion to become part of both the youth and women's Swedis Challenge teams, Felicia was one of the top sailors in the WASZP in Artemis Academy. Felicia's strength is her determination. When she sets a goal, she does everything she can to achieve it. Her endless curiousity means she's never afraid to ask questions, bringing her closer to her dream of professional sailing success.
Lovisa has always loved the sport of sailing. As a young sailor, she did the Opti and progressed to Laser radial via sailing high school. After four years in the Laser she stepped into the 470. It was the Tokyo Olympics that gave her an appetite for more and, when the class changed into mixed, she teamed up with silver Olympic medallist, Anton Dahlberg. The team have been selected to compete in Paris 2024 and are a clear medal chance for Sweden at the games.
Lovisa’s strengths are that she is very good at switching on/off. She is very determinded and focused on her goals. She is a warm person with a big smile.
It's a busy year for Lovisa - she recently won bronze in the Mixed Dinghy (470) in the Paris Olympics and went straight to Barcelona to join the Swedish Challenge team.
